Picture Day … a moment in time (that someday will make them cringe)

Picture Day … an annual tradition that will inevitably lead to our children looking back in 25 years and wondering, “Did we really dress like that?” As parents, we are already familiar with that feeling, aren’t we?

But aside from what will someday be viewed for its fashion faux pas and dated hairstyles, Picture Day is also an opportunity to put a date stamp on this moment in their lives when this unique combination of kids were all together as friends in this particular class.

So, don’t forget that tomorrow is Picture Day, and if you are ordering photos, please fill out the order form and send in the payment. Our thanks to 5th-grade mom Diana Harper for taking on the big task of keeping the kids organized.

First of all, happy first day of school. The buses have picked up, the kids are settling into their new classrooms, and we are all breathing a sigh of relief. We hope you all survived the morning rush. Whether you are a new elementary school parent or a veteran, the whole transition from summer vacation to the school routine can be overwhelming. We know that communication is a good way to feel connected and informed.
